Our previous plans have changed.

Please do not come to pick up your work on Sat. Nov. 16!!

More days to enjoy the Detritus show!!

The current “Detritus” show was supposed to end on Sat. Nov. 6, at 5pm. But, we have decided to extend the show much longer, ending on Sat. Dec. 7 at 5pm. Our theater directors, Peter Dizozza and Roman D’Ambrosio came up with an interesting proposal, wishing to have their music play, “Rapunzel and Sisyphus” performed during the day time on Sat. Dec. 7th in the gallery with the Detitus artworks remaining where they are. I thought it would be a very unique approach to combine the performing event and the fine art show together in the gallery, not in the 3rd floor theater. So, I have accepted their proposal, this means that the exhibit ends on Sat. Dec. 7, not Nov. 16 as originally planned.  And I would like to have an artists’ talk event before the show ends and the pick-up follows from 5-7pm. Through an artists talk we learn more about their hidden stories behind their art works. We always enjoy the event.

 

Here are the updated information:

Detritus/Recycling/Found Objects
Show Dates: Sun. Oct. 13 – Sat. Dec. 7@ 5pm
Music Play,”Rapunzel and Sisyphus”: 2pm – 3:pm
Artists’ Talk: 3:30pm – 5pm
Pick-up Hours: 5-7pm
Another Pick-up day and time: Sun. Dec. 8, 1-5pm

I’m ready to mail the acquisition letters and checks to those whose works the Yuko Nii Foundation purchased from the “Detritus” show. Because it is much safer to hand the letters and the checks to you in person than mailing to you. If you wish to come to pick them up, please come Sat, Jan.18, Sun. Jan.19 and Sat. Jan. 25,  2-5pm.
 

Looking forward to sharing the theater performance in the unique setting and the Artists’ Talk on the last day of the show!
