"Recycled Works"

April 15 - July 10, 2005

Opening Reception Friday May 6 from 6-8 WITH LIVE JAZZ from 7-7:30

"The exhibit brings together various examples of small works and colorful sculptures and drawings of past and present. The materials used in an assemblage of mixed media pieces are most often discarded hardware and recycled objects. As an artist I reshape and juxtapose unrelated pieces and in doing so expose the intimate individual essence hidden inside each object or fragment. The Devil and Sacrifice sculpture are small colorful sculptures made of driftwood, shells, toothpicks, feathers, beads, paint and other materials. Spiritual god depicts the progression of humanity in sculpture form. The creations of these works are highly personal and visionary in nature. I weave my tale from castoffs found in the streets and there is no seperatoin between my daily life and my creative outpouring. I believe in religion, mysticism and all its meaning and the secret knowledge of the unknown and art as a universal means of communication."
