The WAH Center is pleased to present "electrokinetic" an evening of dance & performance in conjunction with the exhibit THE CALCULUS OF TRANSFIGURATION, Meaning, Form & Process in Late 20th Century Art.
Music by the Kinetic Painting Group: Samia Halaby performs on the visual instrument which creates a moving painting, with multiple percussion by Kevin Nathaniel (with Peter Fand and Tom Rossy), transforming the computer into a tool which imitates a camera or pencil or brush with paint.
Also appearing is the Laziza Electrique Dance Company, an innovative dance company that uses scientific and literary springboards for work that airs over the internet and on Cable TV.
Terrence Kelleman performs "Petite Naissance" engaging the body in the creative act with light, time, space and action.
