Museum Day is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian Magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. The Museum Day ticket provides free admission for two people on Saturday, April 4, 2020. In our gallery on that day we will display our 21st WAH Salon Anniversary Show, a landmark exhibition of one of the WAH Center’s most successful projects with artists who have gone on to become outstanding and successful in their careers.

The Smithsonian Museum is called “the nation’s attic” for its eclectic holdings of 154 million items, and for the Smithsonian Institution’s 19 museums (including the Corcoran Museum in Wash. DC and the Copper Hewitt Museum in New York City), 21 libraries, nine research centers, zoos, and historical and architectural landmarks, mostly located in Washington, DC. It also has exhibits of contemporary art such as Pat Steer and Yayoi Kusama currently on view.
