On Location in Brooklyn and Queens is a series of recent paintings done on site by Brooklyn born Arthur Kirmss, an accomplished artist and musician residing in New York. His sculpture, paintings, jewelry, engravings and wood carvings can be found in many public and private collections, and he has written and published numerous articles on primitive shell bead making, wampum, and other subjects of historic and artistic interest. Arthur holds a BFA from Pratt Institute, completed graduate studies in drawing and design at the University of Guadalajara, Colegio Cervantes, Mexico, and earned an MFA in sculpture and print making from the University of Arizona at Tucson. More of Arthur's work can be seen in current exhibits at the Rock Hall Museum in Lawrence, New York, and the Vander Ende Onderdonk House in Ridgewood, Queens, New York.
