A group exhibition of New York based and international artists, organized by Kate Scherer and Andres Bedoya.

Other Life Forms brings together work that describes a particular intersection of sculpture and performance. Our daily motions find expression in our bodies, so that we literally perform whatever rote, whatever fantastic accumulates there. The exhibition reflects attitudes mediated by the body, its representations and behaviors.

Based in performance and sculpture yet spanning video, photography and installation, the works in this show probe the material evidence of amplified experience, representing loud and fragile efforts to pulse a signal, transport a touch.

Coinciding with the exhibition will be video and performance events on

Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 17.

Please join us for the closing reception of Other Life Forms, Sunday, April 17, 4-6pm. For this occasion there will be a special program of performances by Lior Shvil and Tamar Ettun and video screening including work by Andres Bedoya, Jake Borndal, Dan Herschlein, Ryan Lauderdale, and Michele O'Marah. Musical guests: Andrew Steinmetz and Ian Dreiblatt
